hello
Drew Dickler (she/her) is a documentary filmmaker and producer based in Brooklyn, New York.
She is the co-founder of Deep Dive Films, an award-winning production company that makes commercials and feature documentaries.
Much of Drew's film work explores themes of identity, resilience, and social justice. Her first feature Fireboys, about young incarcerated firefighters, premiered in 2021 at Dances With Films and is streaming on HBO Max. Her short films Dress (Best LGBT Film at the Independent Filmmakers Showcase) and All It Takes (Cleveland Int Film Festival) have screened at festivals across the country. In the commercial space, Drew launched her career making videos for Vox Media's Eater.com. She's filmed with dozens of notable chefs including Bobby Flay, Eric Ripert, Wylie Dufresne, Daniel Boulud, and Eiji Ichimura. Continuing her passion for food+character driven storytelling, Drew produced several series for Zagat, one of which garnered a 2018 New England Emmy Award.
Now through her company Deep Dive (which she started with longtime collaborator David Sherwin), she directs and produces commercial content for companies like Google, Barnes & Noble, and Brooklyn Brewery.
Outside of her work, Drew enjoys cooking, fostering dogs, swimming, and obsessing over the Philadelphia 76ers.
